NC Soccer Club Rules and Regulations


Indoor Game Rules

-Games are 2x25 minutes
-Walled fields - U8 thru U12 play 6 on the field + a goalkeeper . U13 and above play 5 on the field + a goalkeeper.
-There is no offsides.


Players Box

1. No Climbing over the player box walls – warning, then blue card
2. No Slamming of player box doors – warning, then blue card

Field of Play

1. No spitting on the field or field areas – warning then BLUE CARD
2. Must wear INDOOR SOCCER shoes, OUTDOOR CLEATS (BLUE CARD) NOT ALLOWED (cannot play without shoes)
3. Must wear shin guards – warning then BLUE CARD
4. No Boarding (BLUE CARD) slamming a player into the wall (RED CARD)
5. Adult goalkeepers may ONLY drop kick, punting by adult Goalkeepers is NOT allowed".
6. Pass back to goalkeeper is not permitted at anytime from anywhere on the field. (except in coed, open men’s, and over 30 men’s leagues) Passback violation will be kick at top of ARC.
7. Ball hitting the ceiling is placed on the center of the nearest line where it hit (center circle).
8. Balls kicked/thrown out of play hitting side net or passing through door openings are restarted next to the wall where it went out of play. 1 yard from wall maximum
9. All kicks are DIRECT. Minor fouls inside the penalty area MUST be brought outside of the area to the top of the Arc.
10. 10 FEET RULE ON ALL KICKS, players must (retire) back up 10 feet
11. Goalie may handle ball for 5 seconds only, violation free kick outside the box on TOP OF THE ARC.
12. No player may throw/kick the ball over all three lines in the air. If this occurs the ball is restarted on the center spot of the first line it crossed. 13. Slide tackling IS permitted in all divisions EXCEPT: COED, 30+ MEN and WOMEN. Players can slide if it does not danger anyone else.
14. Substitutions are on the fly. Guaranteed substitutions are allowed on any restart with referee acknowledgement. (“SUB REF”) Substitutions are NOT guaranteed during the last minute of a half.
15. Referees shall allow a penalty kick to be taken even if time has expired.
16. FIGHTING IS NOT PERMITTED AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. RED CARD for Violent Conduct
17. Individuals or teams fighting failure to give the correct name will result in the team’s removal from the league.

Team leaders will be notified of the length of any red carded player’s suspension. TEAMS ALLOWING A SUSPENDED PLAYER TO PLAY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE WITHOUT REFUND.

18. Dissent and unsporting behavior will not be tolerated. BLUE CARD or RED CARD
19. Any player taunting another player or verbally abusing game officials will be suspended. RED CARD
20. Youth teams losing by more than 6 goals may add an additional player
21. Youth teams must have an adult/parent on the bench. except open men’s, coed, over 30 men’s, and open women’s teams.

Field 4 RULES

Balls hitting ceiling or out of bounds is a throw-in.
No pass back is permitted.
No slide tackling for 30+ 40+ and coed.
Games are 2x25 minutes
Coed A Division playing on field 4 follows outdoor coed rules.



Coed Rules
All rules are the same except the following:
-Teams must have at least 3 females on the field. A female playing Goalkeeper DOES NOT count towards the 3 female players.
-There is a 2 goal limit per player (male or female)
-Females take all free kicks
-No slide tackling (Goalkeeper may slide within the penalty area)

Facility Rules
- Individuals utilizing this facility do so at their own risk. The property owner(s), league operators, officers, owners, and staff (NC) NC Soccer Club assume no liability for any injuries or accidents, which may occur. Please reference Waiver/Release Forms signed by each player.
- Should you find or lose any items please report this immediately to a NC Soccer Club. NC Soccer Club does not assume responsibility for any items lost or stolen.
- Any returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 returned check fee.
- Conduct within the facility should be in the sprit of good sportsmanship as is on the field. Please no alcohol or drugs use prior to playing.
- NO outside alcohol, smoking, cleats, glass containers, or gum allowed in NC Soccer Club.
- NO food, chewing tobacco, drinks, spitting, profanity, and abusive language allowed on the fields.
- NO spitting, profanity, abusive language, and outside food brought into NC Soccer Club.
- We reserve the right to refuse play and or service to anyone.
- Zero Tolerance Policy - Anyone fighting will be ejected. Anyone threatening or stalking another player, staff, official or spectator will also be ejected and reported to the local authorities.
- No individual will be allowed to participate in any league games, practice session, tournaments, clinic, open pick-up game, or other activities until an online Waiver/Release form has been properly completed and digitally signed.
- First Aid - The facility has a limited first aid kit. It shall be the responsibility of each team to maintain their own first aid kit for treatment of their players.
- Teams are registered on a first come, first served basis. A team fee will be refunded only if a team is not offered a position in a league / division determined to be appropriate for the team. Registration must be paid in full before the first game is played. Teams dropping out of, or disqualified from a league will forfeit their registration fees. Discounts for team registration may be available from time to time in certain leagues.
- NO Reschedules for any reason. All scheduling conflicts should be stated on the registration form, we will make every effort to work around them.
- Information contained herein in is subject to change. NC Soccer, reserves the right to make changes without notification.

Outdoor 7v7 Rules

1. Games MUST start on time. If you do not have at least 5 players at the scheduled start time, the clock starts. You will have 10 minutes to field a team and play the game. Failure to field 5 players within the allotted time will result in a forfeit and a score of 5-0. If the game does take place the actual playing time will be shortened so the game can end at the scheduled time.
2. Players MUST wear shinguards, they are MANDATORY not optional.
3. There is no offsides.
4. Substitutions may be made on any throw-in, corner, goal kick or kickoff. Substitutions on the fly are not permitted.
5. Fighting is not permitted and will not be tolerated!! Fighting will result in removal from the league. TEAM FIGHTING WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE LEAGUE WITH NO REFUNDS!!
6. Taunting, dissent and unsporting behavior will not be tolerated. Any player taunting another player or verbally abusing game officials will be issued a yellow card. Additionally, the players team shall be penalized be awarding the opposing team a shootout from the 20 yard spot. Shooter may dribble up from the spot and make an attempt on goal. Remaining field players must be behind the midfield line until the shootout begins.
7. Red cards are a serious offence and will be treated as such. Any player receiving a red card will miss a MINIMUM of 1 game, maybe more depending on the offence. Red cards will be reported to the league, failure to give the correct name will result in the team’s removal from the league. Team leaders will be notified of the length of any red carded player’s suspension. TEAMS ALLOWING A SUSPENDED PLAYER TO PLAY RUN THE RISK OF BEING REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE WITHOUT REFUND.
8. All other standard outdoor rules apply regarding direct and indirect fouls; including no pass back to the goalkeeper and no throw in to the keeper.
9. Uniforms are not required, but teams are required to dress in like colored shirts. Teams should also bring an alternate in case of color conflict. NC does not provide scrimmage vests for teams to wear in case of color conflict.

Outdoor 7v7 Coed Rules

If the game does take place the actual playing time will be shortened so the game can end at the scheduled time. THERE IS NO RESCHEDULE FOR NO SHOWS.

4. Substitutions may be made on any throw-in, corner, goal kick or kickoff. Substitutions on the fly are not permitted.
5. Fighting is not permitted and will not be tolerated!! Fighting will result in removal from the league. TEAM FIGHTING WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE LEAGUE WITH NO REFUNDS!!
6. All restarts (penalties, free kicks and throw-ins) must be taken by a female within their offensive half. Restarts in a team’s defensive half may be taken by any player.
7. There is NO SLIDE TACKLING.
8. There is a 3 goal limit per player per game (male or female). Additional goals scored by a player will not count towards actual game score.
9. Of the 7 players on the field; at least 3 must be female (you may play with more).
